Who Am I?
I'm Katherine Rosenblatt, but call me Katy
Art Therapy Expert, MA,LPC-ATRP
For as long as I can remember, I have always had art materials tangled between my fingers. Art is how I experience the world and is often the way that I communicate. The act of creating art is inherently healing I quickly found out, as that became my coping mechanism throughout my turbulent childhood. Art never judged and it seemed to always hold what I needed it to; whether that was anger, anxiety, or grief.

Traditional therapy scarcely worked for me. I have been in therapy on a continuous basis since I was 8 years old after my parents went their separate ways. I rarely felt truly understood and received by those sitting in the chair opposite of me. I often felt stuck; which was frustrating and ultimately harmful to my self-esteem and growing anxiety.

I took this dissatisfaction and poured myself into years of learning around the world to integrate my various areas of study and life experiences to assist me in unravelling the human psyche in support of helping others. In particular, I related to Edith Kramer’s art therapy model; which places special attention on discovering associations between the creative process and the unconscious mind.

I am absolutely certain that I can help
                  you heal and move forward.

As an experienced art therapist, I am a master level clinician who works with people of all ages across a broad spectrum of practice. I am passionate about reaching out to teens and adults and providing them with a brave and creative space to explore life’s challenges. Life's journey can be overwhelming time, filled with transitions, experimentation, and milestones.

But it doesn't end there. We live in a complicated world that is constantly evolving and shifting; which makes it nearly impossible to feel grounded.
We, as a global race collectively feel it. Let's face it...feeling feelings is hard.

But with my guidance and support, you can overcome any obstacle and flourish in this exciting a transformative phase of life. So let’s work together to unlock your full potential and create a brighter future.

I am here and ready to provide a safe place for you to experience and creatively express emotions, as well as cultivate new opportunities for navigating life’s journey. The act of expression is valuable because it provides insight into behaviors and thinking patterns; which can lead to a new perspective. You deserve better than just getting by, you deserve to thrive.

Ask yourself, what do you want? Let me help you get there.

I practice in Evergreen and surrounding mountain communities in Colorado.
What People Are Saying
“I have never felt so seen and understood by a therapist before working with Katy. She is a kind-hearted, welcoming individual who meets you exactly where you are. She was able to hold space and made it so easy to express what I was feeling, even when I struggled to communicate the same things to my talk therapist. Through working with her I was able to cultivate a sense of self-worth that I’m not sure existed prior, and experiencing that has since helped me to begin carving out my own path with a new sense of confidence and clarity. After studying art therapy in my undergrad it was great to understand the benefits of the practice on a personal level. I had been struggling with a lot of fear and doubt about pursuing a graduate degree in the field, and Katy helped me to not only embrace my artist identity but helped me to realize what was holding me back. Through the time that I saw her she has become an amazing mentor to me and I am grateful for the growth I have experienced through her guidance.  ”

“I like working with Katy because she isn't like most therapists. I've worked with therapists in the past and didn't feel like I was going anywhere. Within the first week of working with Katy I could feel a massive positive shift in my life. Since then, I have made huge life changes to support and fulfill my personal goals. I have hope now and came from working with her. ”

-Mark, 20
“I started working with Katy over a year ago after my divorce and what I liked the most was how she challenged me to push myself to be intentional and to let go of internal judgement. I always leave the session with a clearer idea of how to move forward with my goals and life in general."

-Charlie, 37
“Katy challenged me to look outside my own experiences and to observe my ripple affect. She was able to break concepts down that lead to positive changes in my perspective of life and balance moving forward. I am so grateful for her guidance and wisdom. ”

-Shawn, 42
“I love working with Katy because she challenges me and gets me out of my comfort zone. It is so nice to be able to process through the artwork. I also like that she shares what is going on in the brain and nervous system while creating art. I finally feel comfortable in my body. I am thankful that she gives me a space to explore without forcing conversation; she can sit in the silence and create alongside you without it being strange. There is no pressure- I can just be as I am.  ”
